W .'. Kevin Razawich

Position:    Master

As an accountant, financial analyst, entrepreneur, and information technology professional, Kevin works to help businesses understand and integrate technology into areas through automation, system integration, data manipulation and process improvements.

In addition to working with computer hardware and software for more than 15 years, Kevin received a Bachelor of Science college degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Economics with specializations in Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, and International Development and Transition Economics.  Additionally, Kevin has a minor in Engineering Leadership and Development.  Kevin also received his Master’s of Business Administration at Utica College with a specialization in Economic Crime and Fraud Management. 

Kevin has had held various positions within engineering, accounting, finance, and information technology in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.  He has written and developed a variety of programs, policies, and procedures in order to standardize operations, increase productivity, integrate systems and drive the highest degree of quality and efficiency.  Kevin has studied such areas such as US GAAP, IASB, Sarbanes-Oxley, international finance, leadership, entrepreneurship, cyber security, information technology, material science, and metallurgy. 


In 1996, Kevin learned his first programming language, which was Basic.  While still in high school, he taught himself Pascal, C, and C++ before graduating.  Additionally, Kevin freelanced for a variety of local organizations building and maintaining computer hardware, software, and networks.  He became a member of the National Honor Society and graduated within the top 20 of his class from high school.  During this time Kevin also learned to program in HTML and JavaScript.

Kevin attended The Pennsylvania State University majoring in Electrical Engineering.  During his first year of study, he was accepted into the honors program of Engineering Science and Mechanics.  During the spring of his sophomore year he decided to pick up a second major in Economics along with a minor in Engineering Leadership and Development.  He also picked up a position as an undergraduate researcher for the Center for Innovative Sintered Products (CISP).  During his time at CISP, Kevin had the opportunity to work on material science projects for companies such as NASA, Hewlett Packard, and the Department of Defense. 

During his sophomore year, Kevin made a decision to drop the major in engineering and finish up his major in economics, while completing a minor in engineering.  He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and a minor in Engineering Leadership and received an offer for employment with the United States Federal Government Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.  While he was working with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Kevin participated in national bank audits and examinations.

During his stay with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Kevin relocated from Pennsylvania to central New York.  Shortly after relocating to the Syracuse area he received a job offer for a Financial Analyst position with Fiscal Advisors and Marketing.  During his tenure at Fiscal Advisors, Kevin worked on preparing Official Statements and other financial documents for a variety of public organizations.  These organizations include school districts as well as local municipalities.  Additionally, he managed the information technology department of the entire firm.  This included multiple servers as well as securing and purchasing additional and replacement hardware and software as necessary.

In 2007, Kevin received an offer of employment from Carrier Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation.  Kevin was hired into the accounting and finance department of the commercial services division.  During his time at Carrier, Kevin has participated in a variety of accounting, finance, and project management operations.  These include preparing month end Journal Entries and financial statements in addition to leading a variety of projects on both a local and national scale.

Kevin also has spent significant time giving back to the community.  He has served as a Director on the Board of Directors with the Onondaga County Mental Health Association.  While serving on that board, he was also a member of the Finance Committee.  Additionally he has also served on the Board of Directors of Signature Syracuse, and was the chairman of the Finance Committee on that board as well.

Kevin is also a member and officer of the Liverpool-Syracuse Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons.  He currently is Director of Website Development and is currently the webmaster for SyracuseMasons.com in addition to the Onondaga and Oswego Masonic District Historical Societies.

Kevin also lends his expertise as a freelance consultant for local organizations with regards to Information Technology – providing business owners with current market trends in the fields of computing, networking, cyber security, and development and growth on the Internet and enterprise programs.

In his personal time, Kevin enjoys traveling, reading, writing, volunteering within the community.
